Flags, Caves & Structures

Flag mechanics, upgrading a Flag, Caves, and your own Estate.

Flags

  • Build for 3 Wood + 3 Leather, anywhere within your active flag's reach radius and outside any existing flag's claim radius.
  • Every flag has a claim radius (blocks other flags nearby) and a reach radius (bounds your own movement while it's active).
  • Every territory is the same size — personal, City and Kingdom Flags, Buoys and Castles all claim the same circle, and your active (dotted) circle is a little bigger than a territory. New Flags, including your own, can't be built inside any existing territory, so the next Flag in a trail goes near the edge of your active circle. Where territories overlap, the land belongs to the nearest one.
  • Right of Passage controls who can enter: Normal (per-traveler request), Public (anyone but your Enemies, optionally for a toll), or Private (owner only).
  • Tolls are yours to set: a Public toll (Free, 3 or 10 Gold) in Flag Settings, and for Normal land you pick Free, 3 or 10 Gold for each player when you accept their passage request — change it later from that request in your Mail, or from the Passage Book in your Bag, which lists everyone you've given passage to (change a toll or Revoke there). One grant covers your Normal Flags, Buoys and Caves — but never for your Enemies, even if they had passage before.
  • Public land bonus: when another player earns Gold hunting on your Public Flag or Public Buoy, you get 5% of it on top (they lose nothing). Not for City/Kingdom Flags, Roc Shrines or Guard Towers. Flag Settings shows your total.

Upgrading a Flag

  • Hardened Flag — 2 Stone, built by clicking a personal Flag — your own, or a friend's with your own Stone (not an Enemy's). Gains real HP and can be Attacked, Ignited, Repaired, or Abandoned by another player over time if neglected.
  • City Flag — 100 Crystal, requires City membership and standing adjacent to an existing City Flag.
  • Kingdom Flag — 200 Bricks, requires an already-Hardened Flag adjacent to your Kingdom's Castle or another Kingdom Flag (see Kingdom System).
  • Guard Tower — a Hardened Flag with a Drafting Room slot, 25 levels. It shoots your declared Enemies within 300 m, one at a time. With no Enemy in range it shoots monsters instead: the ones that attack on sight, anything chasing a player, and anything a player is fighting. It never lands the killing blow on a monster a player has hit, so that kill stays theirs, and it leaves peaceful animals alone. A monster your tower kills pays you, the owner, 40% of its usual Gold (no Pages) and drops loot at 40% of the usual chance.

Tip: You can Voluntarily Destroy your own Flag, Buoy, or Estate for a 50% refund of everything you've spent on it, instead of losing it all to neglect. A Flag destroyed within 30 seconds of building it refunds everything — but the Pages, Hat points and City Coins from building it are taken back too.

Caves

Caves gather in Cave fields: rare spots about 2 to 3 km across with dozens of Caves together, often guarded by Troodonts, roughly 20 km apart. Outside a field a lone Cave is rare. Pearl Caves and Sulfur Deposits have their own fields out on the water. Stone Caves and Iron Caves are mined, not destroyed — a 20-second timed action, then a 6-hour cooldown before anyone can mine it again. "Take Control" (2 Wood) makes a Stone Cave, Iron Cave or Sulfur Deposit yours, and its popup shows the owner (Pearl Caves can't be claimed). Sulfur Deposits are rare rocks out in the water, mined for Sulfur like any Cave. Other players can Attack a claim down to half its 200 HP and set it on fire with 20 Crude Oil; unless the owner Repairs it, the claim burns down in 30 seconds and the Cave is free again (the Cave itself never goes). You only see Caves (Stone, Iron and Pearl) inside your active circle — the Troodont Doctrine skill lets you see them anywhere and Visit them: free for a Cave you've claimed, 2 Roc Feathers otherwise. A Cave inside someone else's land needs that land's Right of Passage, the same as a Jump to their Flag or Buoy (visiting a Pearl Cave without a Raft builds one from your Bag on landing).

  • Your Cave can be Normal, Public or Private, like a Flag — tap it to choose. New Cave Claim Default in Flag Settings sets what every Cave you claim from now on starts as.
  • Normal (the default): only players with your Right of Passage can Visit it, but anyone who gets there another way can mine it.
  • Public: anyone but your Enemies can Visit it.
  • Private: only you can Visit or mine it.

Pearl Caves are different — they're only found offshore, and diving at one requires Aquarian Inscriptions Level 1 or higher (see Crafting & Skills). Each Pearl Cave can only be dived once every 6 hours, but that cooldown is tracked per player, so someone else can dive the same cave right after you.

Your Estate

Build a Log Cabin anywhere (2 Wood), upgrade it into a Country Manor in place (100 Wood). Comes with a private storage room, and can add a Roc Chapel, a Workshop, a Drafting Room or a Trophy Room. Visit from anywhere for a flat Roc Feather cost.

Visitors in your Manor

  • Tap your Manor to choose who may walk in: Private (only you — the default), Normal (players with your Right of Passage) or Public (anyone). Your Enemies never can.
  • Others walk in from your Manor's popup when it's inside their circle. They can walk around and look, Trophy Room too, but can't touch your storage or change Gloves and Boots there.
  • Tap a visitor and choose Kick Out to send them outside. Making your Manor Private (or Normal) sends out everyone who no longer may be there; your Hunting Party stays.
  • Storing or taking items only works while you stand inside your own Manor.

Trophy Room

A Trophy Room shows off your best items. Build it through the Trophy Room door upstairs in your Country Manor (10 Stone + 5,000 Gold). It comes with 1 pedestal; each extra pedestal costs 175 Food, up to 14. Walk up to a pedestal and choose any item from your Bag to display on it — it shows on your Profile's Trophies tab for everyone to see.

  • A displayed item stays in your Bag and works as normal — you can still wear it, use it or upgrade it.
  • It stays on its pedestal while it's in your Bag or dropped on the Trophy Room's own floor. Selling it, listing it, using it up or dropping it anywhere else takes it off the pedestal.
  • Visitors to your Manor can walk into your Trophy Room and look at your pedestals, but can't touch anything.
  • Destroying your Manor removes the Trophy Room and empties every pedestal.
