Getting Around
Jump, Visit, Roc Feathers, Water Travel, and relocating to your real-world position.
Only one Flag is ever "active" for you at a time — whichever one you last Jumped to (or landed at via Visit/Relocate). Your movement, and everything you can see and interact with, is bounded by that flag's reach radius.
Jump
Jumping to a Flag is instant and makes that flag your new active one. It's free to your own Flags, your own Kingdom's Flags and any City Flag; another player's Flag (their Roc Shrines and Guard Towers too) costs 2 Roc Feathers, plus any passage toll they set. In a Flag's (or Buoy's, Castle's) menu the button is called Visit.
Visit
Visiting an actual structure (an Estate, a City House, a Trade Post, a City Center, or someone's Castle) costs Roc Feathers, scaled by real-world distance (about 1 Feather per 100 km, at least 2, at most 100; a Trade Post at most 10) — except a Kingdom's own members can Visit/Jump to their Castle or Kingdom Flags for free, a City you hold a City Key for is free, and the Largest Trade Hub is always 2 Feathers from anywhere.
Roc Feathers
- Buy 10 for 100 Gold from any Troll (12-hour cooldown between purchases).
- Buy in bulk, cheaper per feather, from a Troll Hut's vendor.
Water Travel
- You can't walk onto water without a Raft.
- The map is shaded light blue wherever the game counts water — the sea, lakes, ponds and rivers — and pale where it's land. That shading is exactly what every rule uses, so trust it over the map underneath.
- A Raft costs 3 Wood + 3 Crude Oil + 2 Silk and disintegrates once you're back on land.
- Jumping to a Buoy (or Visiting a Pearl Cave) without a Raft builds one for you on landing, taking the materials from your Bag — the Jump button tells you first, and you can't jump if you're short.
- To walk from land onto water with nothing to jump to, tap the water near you and choose Make a Raft — it's built instantly.
- Build a Buoy (5 Wood + 3 Crude Oil) on water as a permanent, ownable anchor anyone allowed can Jump to — optionally make it Public for other players to use.
- A Buoy has 200 HP and can be Attacked, Ignited, Repaired, or Taken Over if abandoned — same mechanics as an unhardened Flag.
Relocate to your real position
From your character menu, Relocate teleports you to your real, live GPS position (snapped to the nearest walkable land).
- Relocate is free, once every 30 minutes.
- It has to match real travel: within 300 km of where you last Relocated (or signed up) at any time, plus about 800 km for every hour since — roughly a flight. After 18 hours you can Relocate anywhere again. If it's too far, the game tells you when you can.
- You never land on another player's or Kingdom's land — if your real position is inside theirs, you arrive at the nearest open land instead. Your own land, your Kingdom's and City land are fine.
